Martinson and four friends, "The 5 young ones", contributed with original material for this very important Swedish modern anthology, which appeared just six weeks after Martinson's first book of his own.

Harry Martinson was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1974 jointly with Eyvind Johnson.
