Richly decorated in gilt and black, front panel with a central oval cartouce with inlays depicting stylized black and yellow roses (=the title of the book), silk endleaves, top edge gilt, else uncut, front pictorial wrapper (by Karl Nordström) bound in. Insignificant fading to spine, some occasional very slight wear to extremities from the slip-case. Fine.

Signed Swedish decorated full leather bindings dated as early as 1920 are very rare on the market.
