Short manuscript poem from 1928, five lines, unsigned, 36 x 22,5 cms.

Together with a typewritten manuscript, "Jag är arm och ringa” (28,5 x 21,5 cms), signed “Harry Martinson”, possibly in a different hand.

Provenance: Olle Wedholm and his fiancé Vera Bergstedt, both friends of Martinsons at the time of his debut. The handwritten poem at least, and possibly both, were intended for Martinson’s first book (Spökskepp, 1929) but were never published.

Harry Martinson was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1974 jointly with Eyvind Johnson.
