Architect Jean Eric Rehn (1717-1793), who had studied for Le Bas in Paris, ranks among Sweden’s finest draughtsmen of the 18th century.
The so-colled Bellinga Collection, named after Bellinga Manor in the south of Sweden, consists of a large part of Rehn’s surviving drawings and watercolours. This extremely important collection was sold by Bukowskis in 1993, and was purchased en bloc by the Nationalmuseum, Stockholm.
